I live about 2 miles outside Carlow town. I have a few acres which I was thinking might be of interest to people in the town who might want to have an allotment. I see you had a meeting in Callan on the 4th Dec and wondered whether there had been much interest. Are you working in conjunction with the co council or seperate?

Hi Sophia,
Senan Gardiner here from Callan. The meeting went well and we had a speaker from a community garden project in Piltdown who gave us a lot of pointers and it was agreed at the meeting that we should focus on getting a community garden started first before allotments. Since then we’ve gone to see community gardens in Baltinglass which have been started using LEADER funding and the contact there is from Carlow town so she would be a good person to contact.
